Botanical descriptions :

Habit : Small trees.
Leaves : Leaves compound, digitate, alternate, spiral, pulvinate, stipule adnate to the petiole, sheath at base; petiolule to 5 cm, puberulous; leaflets 5-8, lamina 9-20 x 3.3-7 cm, oblong or obovate, apex acuminate, base truncate or acute, coriaceous; secondary_nerves 12-14 pairs; tertiary_nerves ramified.
Inflorescence / Flower : Inflorescence umbels in large panicles, terminal, 18 cm long.
Fruit and Seed : Drupe; seeds compressed.

Ecology :

In evergreen forests between 700 and 2000 m.

Distribution :

Peninsular India and Sri Lanka; in the Western_Ghats- South and Central Sahyadris.
