Workshops

The project's activities are periodically reviewed with the organisation of workshops. These workshops provide an opportunity to take stock of the situation, help planning the activities on field, follow the progress of application development there by enhance the effectiveness of the implementation of the action.

The first and launching workshop of BIOTIK was held in Vientiane, Lao PDR from 28^th and 30^th March 2005 followed by field trips in the northern Annamite ranges.

The second workshop was held in IFP from 23^rd January to 25^th January 2006, India followed by field trips in the western ghats.

The third workshop was held in CIRAD, France from 15^th and 19^th of January, 2007 which reviewed the application development process and finalised its recommendations for the implementation of Identikit.

The final workshop was organised in Leiden, The Netherlands from 19^th November and 23^rd November, 2007 which reviewed the progress towards the final stages of the project.

An Application Launching Ceremony was held in Vientiane on 8^th November 2007 which showcased the activities undertook by the project in Lao PDR and also presented the Annamite Version 1.0 release of BIOTIK.

An Application Launching Ceremony was held in Bangalore on 20^th December, 2007 which presented the activities and demonstrated the Western Ghats Version 1.0 release of the application.
