The Model is named after Andre Aubreville; The architecture is determined by a monopodial trunk with rhythmic growth and spiral or decussate phyllotaxis, bearing whorled branch tiers with similar phyllotaxis. Branches grow rhythmically but are modular, each branch plagiotropic by apposition. Since inflorescences are lateral the modules grow indefinitely.
